Survivors of trauma, abuse, or assault, come join us in a space to make things and talk, or just be present. Bring along any materials you have that you can make something with, including paper and writing materials if you’d like to learn how to make a zine, or a project you’re already working on. Our facilitators will be on hand to guide conversation and give tips on whatever you’re making, and to ensure a safe space. Please note this space is for people who have experienced any form of trauma, abuse, or assault only. We won’t ask any questions about your experiences, and you don’t have to talk about them. If you’re still unsure if this applies to you, or have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com. Additionally, we have no tolerance of the following, and may ask you to leave the chat if you make oppressive or harmful comments: transphobia, racism, anti-sex work sentiments, fatphobia, ableism, classism, misogyny, abuse or assault apologism, homophobia, biphobia, or anti-LGBTQIA sentiments, vicim blaming, or abuse/rs, or other forms of oppression.
To attend this talk you must pre-register on eventbrite. Registration will close one hour before the scheduled start time. Zoom details, including the meeting id and password, will also be provided to registered attendees by email one hour before the scheduled start time. We ask all attendees to read our safer spaces agreement in advance and to act in a respectful manner during the session: https://edinburghafb.org/saferspaceagreement
